Tomorrow I finally venture to Germany after weeks of studying German and the ongoing anticipation of what adventure will await me when I arrive. The flight will be long, but I am going straight through. A thrilling excitement chills my very bones as I try to sleep the few nights before my departure. A great adventure awaits, and I hope my German speaking will have improved in the few days I will be there before I go to the school on Monday. I am nervous that I have not learned well enough, but there is no helping that now. Activities are already being planned: my first camping trip, attending the school, touring Munich, visiting a friend I met this year in WA. I know this experience will be something I will carry with me forever, something I will learn so much from that it becomes a part of me.
Germany awaits, auf wiedersehen Washington.
